Most Family History software programs have a similar range of features. Selection tends towards a balance between recommendations, costs and personal preference.

Those listed here are my selection. Although it list numbers 1 to 5; number 5 is the clear winner should you wish to put your site onto the internet; PAF, if cost is the criteria; Ancestral Quest for ease of use. I intend to prepare separate pages giving more information for each of the programs.
